WHO IS OCCUPY NEW HAMPSHIRE?

We are unions, students, teachers, veterans, first responders, families, the unemployed and underemployed. We are all races, sexes, creeds and political ideologies. We are the majority. We are the 99 percent. And we will no longer be silent. We are growing. Block by block – city by city. We will see change in this country, in this world.

On October 15th, a global day of action against military industrialism and corporate greed, thousands of New Hampshirites will rally at noon in Veteran's Park in Manchester, New Hampshire. There, they will begin an occupation in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street and the over 100 other occupations around the nation. Please join us as a part of this historic movement. Bring a tent, sleeping bag, food, and a democratic spirit.

THE STORY OF OCCUPY WALL STREET:

Beginning on September 17th, hundreds of brave activists began occupying Liberty Plaza in lower Manhattan, just blocks from the financial center of the country. Outraged by corporations who refuse to pay their share of taxes, a steadily decreasing tax burden for the richest 1% of the country, growing disparity of income and wealth and political parties who answer not to their constituents but their corporate donors, these brave activists decided it was time to express their justified outrage. In the weeks since the occupation began, it has consistently drawn crowds in the thousands, overflowing the park and sending blocks-long marches throughout Manhattan. Despite violent attacks by the NYPD and the arrest of over 1000 participants, these activists remain dedicated to their occupation. Now, occupations are taking off in over 100 American cities - including Manchester.
